How to Apply

(Fees and Process)

Instructions for Application:

  1. Submit application form (Student Application Form) and application fee by mail

  2. Student and Parent attend interview/testing with board members

  3. Board will notify of acceptance within 1 week of interview/testing

  4. Register for classes by assigned deadline

2008-2009 Fees : Application, Class, Lab, Books

   - all fees are non-refundable (unless student is declined admittance)

      Application Fee = $85 for returning SCT students until March 1st, $110- new student application fee, family cap $220

      Late Application Fee (after 6/1/08) = $175 per student, $350 family cap

     Study Hall fee = $55 per student ($100 family cap) regardless of intention to use the SCT study hall, due at registration

       Class fees =

       - Humanities Core Program A, C, or D: $1080 (3 integrated courses)

      -  Individual courses/Afternoon Options Program : $360  per course for 1 school year of instruction

             Class fee payment schedule:

- Upon Registration  = Core A, C, or D: $360,  $120 per individual course 

- Orientation (in August) = Core A, C, or D:  $720 (2 checks for $360, 2nd check postdated 1/2/09)

                                            individual course: $240 (2 checks for $120, 2nd check postdated 1/2/09)

- Checks should be written to "Severn Classical Tutorial, INC"

      Lab Fees: additional for classes where Lab equipment is required

               -$65 per student for Chemistry Lab due at registration

              - $65 per student for Biology Lab due at registration

              - $30 per student for Physical Science Lab due at registration

      Book Fees : Books are purchased separately and vary by class (book fees are not included in class fees) Parents can expect to pay approx. $50-$100 per class for books.
