| Statement of Faith |

| We believe in only
One True God, who has revealed Himself in Three Divine Persons (the
Father, Son and Holy Spirit); and that the Bible, consisting of the
sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments is His Divinely
inspired, inerrant, sufficient* and absolutely authoritative revelation
to mankind. The Bible as originally written is the ultimate standard of
truth and is therefore the reference point by which every other claim to
truthfulness is to be measured. We believe a primary purpose of the Bible was to unveil mankind's utter sinfulness and announce God's complete provision of forgiveness through the finished work of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. We believe Jesus was virgin born, died for our sins, and was raised from the dead as the first fruit of our resurrection. *note: by "sufficient" we mean that: (a) God does not require us to believe anything about Himself or His redemptive work that is not found in Scripture (b) We are to add nothing to Scripture and we are to consider no other writings of equal value to Scripture (c) nothing is required of us by God that is not commanded in Scripture either explicitly or by implication. |
